Purpose of the Woodview Library

The Library will...

     help students learn to access, evaluate, and use information independently;

     help students develop the love of reading;

     support teachers in leading studetns to be life-long learners.

Goals of the Woodview Library

 * The Library will be a welcoming and inviting place and the Librarian will be a friendly and helpful person.

 * The Librarian will collaborate with teachers to teach the TEKS tested on the TAKS test that could be best taught in the Library.

 * The Library program will include some form of reading motivation activity.

 * Every lesson taught by the Librarian will include some technology.

Things to know about the Woodview Library

Each week, every class has a scheduled library time during which students may check out books.  In addition to this, students may check out books at other times as deemed appropriate by the teacher and librarian.  In order to check out books independently, students must know their student ID numbers. 

If a book is lost, it must be paid for by the student who checked it out.  If the cost is prohibitive, please see Mrs. Scales.
